Abstract

This chapter describes the DIGIAC 3010 digital logic trainer. The DIGIAC 3010DD Digital Logic Trainer is designed specifically for the teaching of digital computer logic. Sixty separate basic computer circuits, identical to those employed in modern computers are incorporated into the DIGIAC 3010DD, enabling a student to easily construct computer logic circuits used in computers today. Computer maintenance and logic system breadboarding is also readily accomplished with this versatile unit. Each of the 60 individual logic circuits are screened on the front panel and correspond to the logic diagrams in the student manual supplied with the DIGIAC 3010DD. Color-coded interconnection wires of different lengths are also included in the unit. Using these interconnecting wires, the student can connect individual circuits in the computer to build and demonstrate the operation of counters, registers, half adders, serial, and parallel memories and other digital logic functions.
