Abstract

A method is proposed for calculating the input impedance of a long line with wires of different lengths. The method involves replacing this structure by a line of two identical wires that is loaded with a capacitance. The theory of electrically coupled lines located over the Earth is applied to calculate the input impedance of a nonsymmetric linear radiator (monopole). The results are applied to analyze a system of two monopoles located in the near zones of each other.
