Abstract

Based only on communication, the thought of language indentifles truth xvith the context ofthe social exchange ofsigns. Thus, this thought can recognize in révélation simply diverse manners of signifying the constitutive incompleteness of the exchange. The " enounced God" escape before the very act of enunciation. In response to the new association of révélation and truth (as presented in the récent theological studies of Guy Lafon), this article under stands the problem of language and the relation between God and language in a completely différent way. It introduces a reciprocity between the community of language or communication and the world of language or manifestation. Furthermore, it présents the révélation of God as the unity ofhis own manifestation in Jésus the Christ and ofhis own communication in the Holy Spirit.
