Abstract

The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of lanthanum modified lead zirconate titanate (PLZT) ceramics have been investigated as a function of Zr/Ti ratio for 5 mole% lanthanum addition. The dielectric constants show that the transition temperature shifts towards higher value with increasing frequency which may be attributed to the diffuse phase transition due to the presence of microregions associated with diffuse phase transition
