Abstract

Multilayer polymer composite honeycomb structures were investigated by Contact Laser-Ultrasonic Evaluation (CLUE). The size of adhesive fillets connecting honeycomb core with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composite (CFRC) skin is determined. The correlation of strength indicators with the presence and size of adhesive fillets was confirmed. The possibility of non-destructive evaluation of local strength of CFRC structure with CLUE is dicussed.
