Abstract

Growth of online commerce market volume preconditions both the quantitative and qualitative changes in organizing logistic activities of the market players. Strengthening of competition on the market, increasing the number of small and medium-sized online retailers compel the companies to decrease their logistic costs. On of the effective ways of optimizing the expenses, especially at the stage of coming on the market, is using services of the fulfilment operators. The article substantiates development of the fulfillment services on the Russian market by rapid increase of the online sales, determines the major and additional services performed by the companies in this sphere of activity. It analyses the main prospects of developing the electronic commerce market in Russia. The article considers the potential risks and advantages of the companies transfer of a part or all their logistic competences to the outsourcing of the fulfilment operators. It carries out a research of the major obstacles in developing the Russian fulfilment infrastructure. It determines the business opportunities in developing the fulfilment services market.
