Abstract

Energy storage technology plays an important role in power grid operation as an important part of regulating power grid quality and stabilizing microgrid structure. In order to make the energy storage technology better serve the power grid, this paper first briefly introduces several types of energy storage, and then elaborates on several chemical energy storage: lead energy storage, lithium battery energy storage, sodium sulfur battery and liquid flow battery. Based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages, development, research status and chemical properties of the four kinds of electrochemical energy storage, some suggestions and ideas for the future development of electrochemical energy storage are put forward. Finally, the development trend of energy storage is forecasted.
