Abstract

The article examines the educational potential of the Maritime College in the conditions of distance learning, gives the author's definition of this phenomenon, reveals its content, advantages, characteristic features and components. The pedagogical conditions for the development and realization of educational potential are described. The principles, forms and methods of education of cadets, which are the most effective in the distance format, are revealed. The pedagogical model of the development and realization of the educational potential of the college remotely has been developed, its structural parts, as well as modules of the author's target program have been identified. The author's target program, as the core of the pedagogical model, has shown effectiveness with clearly positive dynamics in the development of the levels of education of cadets. The development of the cadets' education levels has been proved experimentally through the use of scientific methods valid for the research topic and adapted according to the specifics of the Maritime College.
