Abstract

Conditions have been established for dissolving silver on unprocessed and processed films so that aqueous silver standards may be used for calibration curves. About 6.5 μg of silver on an area of 0.4 cm <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> is needed for optimum measurement, and 0.1 μg of silver on the same area may be detected. The coefficient of variation of the method is 1.6%. The time taken for each analysis is about 5 min.
