Abstract

The data on the accumulation of heavy metals in the liquid fraction of municipal solid waste have been presented in the paper. Atomic absorption spectrophotometry should be used for detecting heavy metals of multistage circulation pyrolysis. The purpose of the study is to determine the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of heavy metals in the liquid fraction of multistage circulation pyrolysis by atomic absorption spectrometry and spectrophotometry. Spectrophotometric analysis method was used as a comparative to atomic absorption one to define the most appropriate and efficient method of investigation the pyrolysis products for the presence of heavy metals in them. Experimental investigations were held. They have confirmed the presence of heavy metals (Pb, Ni, Cu, Zn, Co) in the liquid fraction of multistage circulation pyrolysis using atomic absorption spectrometry and spectrophotometry. Genuine technique for detection of concentration of heavy metals in the liquid fraction was developed.
