Abstract

In the field of mathematical biology, Cancer research is done to study the growth dynamics of cancerous cells as well as to develop the strategies for its prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Though cancer is one of the life-threatening diseases, early detection can help to control its growth with proper treatment strategies. With the recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI), research studies have been initiated to use different Machine Learning (ML) techniques in the detection and classification of different types of cancer in the human body. The main objective of this study is to address the recent developments of different ML techniques to detect and categorize different types of cancer like breast, brain, lung, liver and skin cancer in the human body. In this study, we have highlighted how MLs with supervised, unsupervised and deep learning techniques are used in the detection and treatment of different types of cancer for lowering cancer risk to the patient. For this purpose, we have also studied different types of cancer and their growth processes in the human body.
