Abstract
Dual-beam antenna consists of two beams where the electromagnetic radiation from antenna to the air, each beam covers a certain airspace, so as to meet the demand of simultaneous coverage of two directions. Through the excellent coverage characteristics of dual-beam antenna, fine control is achieved in the coverage, reducing the optimization difficulties caused by over covering and overlapping of multiple signals, and improving capacity. A cavity-backed slot antenna based on the substrate integrated waveguide and grounded coplanar waveguide feed technique which working frequency in the frequency range of 13.4GHz-15GHz is designed. With a W-shaped slot etched, dual beam radiation characteristics in the frequency range of 13.4GHz-14GHz is obtained, the maximum gain of the antenna in the main beam is up to 7.5dBi.
