Abstract

The article considers the degree of syntactic coherence of poetic texts in Russian. Means of linguistic cohesion include inflectional and analytical tools, pronouns and other substitutional and anaphoric units, word order, lexical and periphrastic repetitions, prosody and graphic elements. However, in the poetic text, the set of these means is peculiar. Often morphological and syntactic units are replaced by lexical associations and phonetic correspondences. Examples of such texts from Russian poetry are given. The conclusion is made about the compensatory mechanism for the interaction of language levels in the process of speech production and speech perception.
