Abstract
In the paper, we consider separation of a metal cylinder hot or cold-pressed to the axis, when the separation is assisted with induction heating of details. The equations of thermal conduction and deformation were solved numerically, assuming all material properties are temperature depended, and magnetic susceptibility depends on the magnetic field as well. We compare the computed results with our experimental data.
