Abstract

The subject of the article are handwritten dedication letters included in books given to Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz by writers and literary scholars. The volumes are archived in the Stawisko Library in Podkowa Leśna. The dedication letters vary in terms of character. Some authors ask Iwaszkiewicz for a book review or a translation, others inform him about their literary debuts, still others talk about the memories they shared with Iwaszkiewicz and emphasize the inspiration they found in his writing. The dedication letters thus show the private dimension of the literary relations within Iwaszkiewicz’s cicrle.
