Abstract
AbstractDC conductivity and dielectric properties of consolidated nano‐particles of red‐HgI2 have been studied. DC and AC conductivities have been found to be about 3 orders of magnitude larger than that reported for single crystals of red‐HgI2. The enhancement in dielectric properties have been attributed to the defect structure of the particles due to excess surface stress and the structural anomaly of their surface.
