Abstract

Nowadays the diversification of energy production, especially with renewable sources, is one of the objectives of sustainable development and the characterization of their functioning and parameters is the subject of interest of the researchers. In this regard, the article presents the functioning process of a cogeneration plant running on biogas, operating in Romania since 2014, referring to the actual values regarding the consumption of biomass and biogas needed for the plant to work at the designed parameters. Also the production of electric energy output, technological consumption and electric energy delivered into the national system is analyzed, and an approximation model is obtained for the relation between the biogas consumption and electrical energy produced.
