Abstract

This article seeks to analyze issues related to power relations and understand the forms of political organization and the representativeness of feminist groups, given their hierarchically subordinate situation in social and political spaces, based on the numbers raised in the IBGE and TSE databases. The analysis will investigate the participation of genders in the national, state and city of Cataguases-MG, for the position of councilor. This study is justified by the importance of understanding female participation in elections, in an attempt to know the scenario in which the rise of the Feminist Collective Lélias to the City Council of Cataguases-MG takes place. The objective is to carry out a data collection that allows a better understanding of the social, political and historical participation of women through electoral representation.
