The general survey questionnaire and Self-Perceived Burden Scale (SPBS) were used to investigate the participants. The multivariate regression analysis was performed to explore the influencing factors for self-perceived burden. Results The total score of self-perceived burden was at a moderate level of (37.11±5.15) . The multivariate analysis showed that the main influencing factors for self-perceived burden included medical expenses payment, treatment method, duration of disease, and number of combined chronic diseases. Conclusions The self-perceived burden of elderly cancer patients is generally at a moderate level. Medical staffs should formulate individualized plans to reduce the self-perceived burden of cancer in elderly patients and improve the quality of life according to their specific conditions.
