Abstract
The use of omic’s methodologies are determinant to advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying plant response to environmental stresses. Among them, high-throughput transcriptome analysis is key to disclosing the expression of genes governing the complex regulatory network associated with plant acclimation and tolerance to changes in their surrounding environment. In this chapter, we provide an overview of the recent advances and achievements of transcriptomic studies towards the understanding of the mechanisms underlying Coffea resilience to climate change, with particular emphasis on future climate scenarios such as water deficit, supra-optimal temperatures, and elevated air CO2.
