Abstract

Based on the Leader-Member Exchange theory, this study aims to test the mediating effect of the sense of community on the relationship between managerial support and teachers’ psychological well-being at work in an online environment. Thus, validated measures, in the form of self-reported questionnaires (n=211), are used and mediation analyzes are performed. The results reveal a complete mediation between the sense of community and the relationship between supervisors’ support and teachers’ psychological well-being at work. These results enrich the scientific literature and highlight the importance of developing a virtual community within school teams. This research stands out for its innovative nature, being the first to specifically study the links between these three variables.
