Abstract
Front cover: Red, Green, Blue (RGB) composite Airmass image showing Storm Ciarán at 0000 UTC on 2 November 2023. The Airmass product is a composite based upon data from infrared and water vapour channels from the SEVIRI instrument on the Meteosat Second Generation 3 geostationary satellite. At this time, a damaging tornado was occurring on the island of Jersey and shallow convection in the dry slot of the storm (red shades) can be seen over the Channel Islands and the English Channel.
