Abstract

The effects of surface treatment of discrete wood fibres incorporated into cement have been studied by measuring the fracture energy and flexural strength of the derived composite materials. The results of this investigation confirm that the mechanical performance of a wood fibre reinforced cement composite can be altered by the use of coupling agents.
