Coleman (he/him) is a Black trans artist-scholar and Assistant Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Affiliate Faculty Member of Africana Studies at Georgia State University. His current scholarship traverses decolonial pedagogical projects of women, queer, and trans people of Black and/or Native/Indigenous descent in the US South and Mexican South. He is also a Wynterian scholar of race interested in how trans study continues to confound the modern/colonial Human project.
