Correlation Between Level of Community Knowledge and Attitudes of Protocol Health Covid-19 at Eden Park Housing at Taman Baloi, Batam in 2020

Abstract

Corona virus disease (Covid-19) spread out in 2020 with a new type of corona virus, which was SAR-COV-2 and it was called as Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). The aim of this research was to identify the level of community knowledge on their attitude of covid-19 health protocol at Eden Park Housing, Taman Baloi, Batam in 2020. Research problem in this research was how was the correlation between the level of community knowledge and the attitude of Covid- 19 health protocol at Eden Park Housing, Taman Baloi, Batam, in 2020. This research used Cross Sectional design, a research to learn dynamic of correlation between risks and effects using observation approach and data collection as well as questionnaire as instrument. Sampling technique used in this research was total sampling with a total of 61 respondents. This research was performed in Eden Park Housing, Taman Baloi, Batam from 31 August – 1 September 2020. Result of the research showed that from 61 respondents, there were 48 (78.7%) respondents had low level of knowledge and 49 (80.3%) respondents did not implement covid-19 health protocol at Eden Park Housing, Taman Baloi, Batam, in 2020. The result of chi-square correlation found p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, which meant that there was significant correlation between the level of community knowledge and attitude of covid-19 health protocol at Eden Park Housing, Taman Baloi, Batam in 2020.
