Abstract
Coronary artery disease (CAD) stems from risk factors like high blood pressure, cholesterol, and smoking. Atherosclerosis, plaque buildup in arteries, restricts blood flow to the heart, causing symptoms such as chest pain. Diagnosis involves tests like ECGs and angiograms to evaluate blockages and heart function. Treatment focuses on symptom relief and risk reduction through lifestyle changes, medications, and procedures like stent placement or bypass surgery. CAD management requires ongoing medical care and lifestyle adjustments to improve heart health and prevent complications like heart attacks.
