Abstract

Objective To explore the coping modes and its related factors for the breast cancer patients.Methods 300 patients with breast cancer after postoperative chemotherapy were recruited for a cross-sectional survey,using medical coping questionnaire (MCMQ).Results The total mean level of coping mode was (49.57 ± 2.21 ).The face score of coping mode was ( 18.53 ± 1.44),avoidance score was ( 16.38 ± 1.63),yield score was ( 14.67 ± 1.10) in our study,and those in cancer norm were ( 19.12 ± 4.14),( 14.46±3.03 ) and ( 8.55 ± 3.33 ),respectively,and the differences were significant ( t =7.108,20.426,95.625,respectively; P < 0.01 ).Single-factor analysis showed that educational level and the way of payment were identified as significant influence factors of coping mode (P < 0.0l ).Conclusions Nurses should guide breast cancer to use positive coping modes based on their educational level and the way of payment and improve the health level of patients.
