Abstract

Abstract Greenhouse grown marigolds, 6-8 inches high, planted in 4 inch pots, were artificially infested with twospotted spider mites. The plants were evenly spaced on a greenhouse bench. Treatments were replicated 5 times in a RCB design. The marigolds were sprayed until runoff with a Gilmore all-purpose hand sprayer and a surfactant was added to each treatment. Applications were made on 26 Jun, 30 Jun, 3 Jul and 8 Jul. Spider mite infestations were evaluated at 3-4 DAT. Infestations were determined by examining 4 leaves per plant and counting the number of live spider mites per leaf. The leaves were chilled prior to examination.
