Abstract

Abstract Treatments were applied on 1 Aug to ‘Stoneville 453’ cotton in Phillips County, AR, using a CO2 powered backpack sprayer calibrated to deliver 10.5 gal/acre at 50 psi through TX-4 hollowcone nozzles on a 19-inch spacing. Plots were 2, 38-inch rows, 50 ft long arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications. Evaluations were made 2 DAT using a hand-lens to count the number of spider mites on a total of 3.6-inches2 of leaf area on the upper portion of the cotton plants in the center 2 rows of each plot.
