Abstract
Abstract Test plots were established near Hollister, Idaho. The soil type was Portneuf silt loam and the field was irrigated by surface flow. Five treatments and an untreated control were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. Each plot was 12 by 25 ft. Treatments were applied 7 Jul, during bloom, as broadcast spray with a CO2-pressurized backpack sprayer using 30 psi and delivering 20 gal finished spray/acre. Nozzle type was X-8 (Spraying Systems) hollow cone. Treatments were applied on 7 Jul during bloom period. Sampling was conducted by taking 590° pendulum sweeps/plot on each sampling date and counting the SAA in the net. Data were subjected to ANOVA.
