Abstract

Abstract CONSIL 906 is an internally oxidized silver-cadmium oxide alloy for electrical contact applications. It has extremely small cadmium oxide particles, desirable for long contact life. The particles exhibit a tree-ring pattern, a characteristics of the multiple oxidation production process. Careful control of the oxidation process results in negligible cadmium oxide depletion of the core or surface. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: Ag-10. Producer or source: Handy & Harman.
