Abstract

Abstract Consil 900 is internally oxidized 90 silver-10 cadmium oxide in which the cadmium oxide particles are extremely small and uniformly dispersed for long electrical-contact life. It often replaces fine silver and conventional silver alloys if the electrical-contact requirements call for higher current-carrying capacity, greater resistance to sticking or welding, and/or a lower temperature rise during use. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: Ag-8. Producer or source: Handy & Harman. Originally published June 1975, revised February 1980.
