Abstract

Using the framework of the texts of the Vatican II Council as his starting point, the author proposes to examine in what way the modern notion of dialogue could fructify the classical notion of consensus fidelium. In order to do so, the author uses contributions brought by the philosophical thinking of P. Ricœur and J. Habermas and indicates the dogmatic and ecclesiological loci where these hermeneutics and this analysis of communicational action could be able to accompany the theology and practice of a Church which would be able to fully recognize dialogue as being a constituent element of believers' identity.
