Abstract

The article notes that tourism is an important sector of Ukraine's economy, which has great potential and prospects for development, and one of the conditions for its success is qualified personnel, whose training is an urgent problem, among which is to empower young people to choose education. . In this regard, the possibilities of distance learning of future specialists in tourism and hotel and restaurant industry are considered. It is emphasized that for students who receive this education, a very important aspect of learning is the ability to communicate with the teacher at a distance, because it provides an opportunity to learn when it is convenient for the student, at a pace of his choice (within the prescribed time) holding), in the place where he is. It is noted that the theoretical basis of distance learning are the works of S. Arkhangelsky, Y. Babansky, S. Goncharenko, L. Vygotsky, P. Halperin, G. Kostyuk, N. Talyzina, O. Infantry, O. Rybalko, L. Romanyshyna and others. Given the results of scientific achievements, the article focuses on the differentiation of the concepts of "distance learning", "distance education". In addition, a brief description of the following distance learning tools is provided: electronic textbook, electronic reference book, computer models and simulators, electronic board, computer training programs, computer test systems. The organizational and methodological models of distance learning are characterized and the most suitable for training of future specialists of tourism and hotel and restaurant sphere are singled out, in particular, study by type of externship, study on the basis of one university, cooperation of several educational institutions, autonomous educational institutions specially created for distance education. . The forms of organization of classes that are most often used in the process of distance learning are clarified, namely: chat classes, web classes, teleconferences. Examples of such classes are given - chat class "Information Exchange", web lesson "Auction", teleconference "Information Search". The essence of the main features of distance learning - flexibility, modularity, parallelism, asynchrony, economic efficiency, a new role of the teacher, specific quality control of education, the use of specialized technologies and teaching aids, reliance on modern means of educational information.
