Abstract

A method based on the use of the impulse response as a nonparametric or graphical model is proposed for the analysis and design of linear time-invariant control systems. It can be used for systems too complex to be represented adequately by parametric models. The technique is restricted here to single-input single-output systems, but can be extended to more inputs and outputs.
