Abstract

The present article reports the effects of MHD, Joule heating and thermal radiation on Eyring Powell fluid flow due to a nonlinear variable thickened stretching sheet. Heat transfer characteristics are studied in the presence of thermal radiation, viscous dissipation and Joule heating effects. The surface of plate is rigid. No flow occurs across the plate surface. Suitable transformations are used to transform the highly non-linear PDE’s into ODE’s. The obtained equations are tackled with shooting method using fifth order Runge-Kutta scheme. The computations are performed with the help of Matlab software. Graphical results are portrayed to analyze the important parameters regarding various physical quantities of the problem. Also, the tables show the comprehensive description of skin friction, heat transfer rate as well as mass transfer rate.
