Abstract
The paper presents the results of the investigation of the surface layer composition of titanium alloy VT6 obtained after ion implantation with tantalum ions. It is shown that tantalum ion implantation can lead to a significant reduction in surface roughness, as well as a beneficial effect on the corrosion properties of the titanium alloy.
