Abstract
Based on the analysis of the use of strengthening technologies in bioengineering (implants, surgical instruments) the prospects of development of the newest technologies of surface nanostructuring with heating by highly concentrated energy sources of tool steels with sharp edges are shown. For tools with sharp edges, it is advisable to use plasma surface nanostructuring.
