Abstract

Objective To compare the effect of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and small-incision cholecystectomy (SC). Methods Two hundred and twenty patients who were scheduled for cholecystectomy were randomly divided into LC group and SC group, with 120 cases in each group. The surgery time, blood loss, incision length, postoperative bed time, postoperative fasting time, anal exhaust time, length of hospital stay, cost of hospitalization and complications were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with SC group, LC group had advantages such as smaller incision, less bleeding, shorter hospital stay, shorter out of bed activity time, fasting time and anal exhaust time as well as less complications(P 0.05). Conclusions LC is better than SC in the treatment of gall bladder diseases. Key words: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy; Small-incision cholecystectomy; Clinical efficacy
