Abstract

Underwater explosive sound sources are widely utilized due to their characteristics of high source level and wide frequency band. An experiment was arranged in a pool to acquire the acoustic signals of underwater explosive charge and plasma sound sources. The acoustic signals of the two types of sound sources were decomposed by wavelet packet. The waveform, sound pressure lever, frequency spectrogram and Welch power spectrum of each frequency band were compared and analyzed. The results reveal that the differences of acoustic signal characteristics are mainly related to the total amount and injection rate of energy.
