Abstract
This article examines the theoretical issues of the gender aspect of linguistic research, in particular in translation practice. The issues of the influence of the gender identity of the authors on the style of writing and the nature of the work are considered. Dependence on social, sociocultural and political factors of carriers of a particular gene is also described. And against the background of historical need, the development of the feminist theory of translation. The main purpose of this scientific article is to identify the features of the feminist theory of translation at the lexical level and describe the gender characteristics that influence the choice of language means. Also, with the help of works of art, a comparative analysis of the place of use of figurative means, stylistic features of characters, objects, and the belonging of words to the male or female sex is carried out.
