Abstract

The purpose of the article is to highlight the economic aspects of the functioning of exhibition associations of artists in Russia at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries. Understanding the role of commercial associations of artists in the structure of the domestic art market opens up opportunities for a more in-depth and detailed studying of the features of the artistic life of Russia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
