Abstract

The main focus of this article is to show and emphasize the research ethics committee as a partner of researchers and institutions that perform research in the educational process. It briefly describes the historical concepts and presuppositions of bioethics, as well as the fact that such discussion is related to the construction of knowledge, a space where the debate regarding research ethics committees is placed. Considering the educational process as the ongoing creation of knowledge, more attention should be given to the research ethics committees established in colleges of the health area and university hospitals, reflecting on the importance of their role in the formation of future professionals. It is in the interaction of such committees with researchers, professors, and students that the educational process occurs.
