Abstract

Treatment of arterial hypertension can include monotherapy, as well as a combination of two or three components. According to modern recommendations for the appointment of combined antihypertensive therapy, one of the drugs should be a diuretic. The combination of ACE inhibitors with a thiazide-like diuretic is one of the most effective combinations, with enalapril and indapamide being the first choice in these groups. A wide evidence base, long-term experience of application and high safety profile allow preferring a non-fixed combination of enalapril with indapamide in the formulation of Enziх Duo and Enzіх Duo Forte. Ease of use, high compliance and a quick hypotensive effect justify the popularity of these drugs among doctors and patients.
