Abstract

Abstract COLUMBIUM D-36 is a readily fabricable, moderate strength columbium-base alloy for high temperature service. This alloy is double consumable-electrode vacuum arc melted. It has a strength to density ratio at 2000 F (stress-relieved sheet) of 80500. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Cb-8.
