Abstract
Clitocybula ellipsospora is proposed as a new species based on morphological (macro- and microscopic) and molecular characters, as well as its distinctive habitat in Pinus sylvestris forest areas near peat bogs, in the Supramedi- terranean belt. A complete discussion comparing this taxon with closely related species is also provided
