Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of Maxingshigan decoction combined with Suting pills on febrile asthma children. Methods According to the random double blind method, 100 children with febrile asthma were divided into the two groups, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, the observation group was treated with Maxingshigan decoction combined with Suting pills based on the control group. The clinical efficacy, adverse reactions, the scores of symptoms and signs and the pulmonary function indexes before and after the treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group (96.0%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (82.0%) (P 0.05). Conclusions The curative effect of Maxingshigan decoction combined with Suting pills on febrile asthma in children is definite, with high safety. It can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients and promote the recovery of the lung function. Key words: Maxingshigan decoction; Suting pill; febrile asthma in children
