Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of alprostadil combined with telmisartan on early diabetic nephropathy. Methods Eighty patients with early diabetic nephropathy were randomly di-vided into two groups, with 40 cases in each group. The patients in treatment group were treated with al-prostadil combined with telmisartan, and the patients in control group were treated with telmisartan. All case were observed for 4 weeks. The levels of 24 h urinary microalbumin, serum urea nitrogen and serum creatinine of the two groups before and after treatment were observed. Results There was no significant differences in the levels of serum urea nitrogen and serum creatinine of the two groups after treatment(P ﹥0. 05). After 4 weeks of treatment, the 24 h UAE of the two groups significantly decreased(P ﹤0. 05). The decrease of 24 h UAE in the treatment group was more obvious(P ﹤0. 05). There were no severe adverse effects during the treatment. Conclusions Alprostadil combined with telmisartan can significantly reduce the urine protein excretion of patients with early diabetic nephropathy, and is an effective method for the treatment of early diabetic nephropathy. Therefore,it is worthy to be clinically popularized. Key words: Diabetic nephropathy; Alprostadil; Telmisartan
