Abstract

Objective To observe the curative effect of valsartan combined with Shenkang injection on early diabetic nephropathy. Methods Eighty-six patients with early diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 43 cases in each group. The two groups of patients were given oral hypoglycemic agents or insulin, lipid-lowering and other conventional western medicine treatment. The treatment group was treated with Shenkang injection combined with valsartan treatment, and the control group was given valsartan treatment. The serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER), serum albumin (ALB), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and other indicators before and after treatment were compared. Results After treatment, the levels of UAER, Scr and HbA1c were significantly decreased in both groups, the difference of the same group before and after treatment was significant (P 0.05). There was no significant difference in the blood BUN levels between the two groups before and after treatment (P>0.05). Conclusions Valsartan combined with Shenkang injection can effectively treat early diabetic nephropathy, and significantly improve the renal function and glycosylated hemoglobin, so it is an effective method in the treatment of early diabetic nephropathy. Key words: Early diabetic nephropathy; Shenkang injection; Valsartan
