Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and short-term prognosis of acarbose and metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with coronary heart disease, and to provide reference for clinical treatment. Methods The clinical data of 73 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with coronary heart disease in our hospital from January 2014 to August 2015 were collected, according to the random number table method, the patients were divided into two groups, the control group(n=36) was treated with metformin.Based on the treatment in control group, the observation group was treated with acarbose. After 3 months of treatment, the clinical efficacy and blood glucose, blood lipids and inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups. All patients were followed up for 12 months, the incidence rate of cardiovascular events were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The FBG, 2 h PBG, HbAlc, FINS and HOMA-OR in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). The TNF-α, IL-6, TG, TC in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group, the HDL-C was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). All patients were followed up for 12 months, the incidence of target vessel reconstruction and acute coronary syndrome in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Acarbose combined with metformin can significantly improve clinical effect in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with coronary heart disease, and improve blood lipid metabolism and inflammatory reaction, reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events in patients, it is worthy of attention. Key words: Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2; Coronary Disease; Acarbose; Metformin
